
Hi, I’m Mishell, a parent, teacher, and counselor with more than 30 years of experience working with children and families in many different settings.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Psychology and hold a certificate in Social Emotional and Character Development. But beyond degrees and certifications, my work and life experiences have taught me something important:
Many people carry unresolved pain, stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm for years while being told to “move on” or “just get over it.” So they push those feelings down and try to keep functioning, believing they should be fine.
But our minds and bodies don’t work that way.
Eventually, that overwhelm shows up somewhere, often in the moments we least expect it, and sometimes with the people we love most. Parenting can become filled with yelling, guilt, disconnection, and chaos that no one intended to create.
That’s why I created CALM Parenting.
My goal is to help parents better understand themselves, regulate their emotions, strengthen connection with their children, and bring more calm to the everyday chaos of raising kids.
